MAR 2024_ The Invictus Project
You have heard the numbers, 89.4 Million images of children, sexually exploited, being traded. Horrific images of unimaginable deeds done in darkness have made their way into the hands of predators right here in our own backyards.
Remember Sheriff Kimbrough saying his department is working to catch human traffickers & predators w the Invictus Project?! Well guess what!? Whitney Miller is the VP of Development & will be our guest speaker!! She will tell us ALL about it.
The Invictus Project is dedicated to Educating, Advocating, and working alongside federal, state, and local law enforcement in the fight against internet crimes against children (ICAC), sexual abuse, trafficking, and the exploitation of children. We are very hyper focused on our domestic efforts specifically in 4 counties. Davidson, Forsyth, Randolph & Alamance
Learn more about what they are doing at www.theinvictusproject.org
She will ALSO give us any info we want about the overseas work w Lantern Rescue as that was her last position.

SEP 2023_ The Liberty Belle
Details: www.thelibertybellenc.com
Christin McMasters is a millennial like you’ve never met before. She is a Constitutionalist from Charleston, SC, now residing in NC. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of South Carolina. Unlike typical academics, she actually LOVES this country and LOVES liberty and will fight for it at all costs.
Christin is a published blogger and educator of the Constitution and Citizens responsibility to hold our government accountable. The Constitution is our government’s job description and we are the government’s employers. How can we hold our government accountable to their job if we don’t even know their job description?
April 2023_
2023 County & State Updates
We heard from our local Vice-Chair, Forsyth County Commission, Gloria Whisenhunt.
There are not enough CONSERVATIVES running these days. The reason Forsyth county is so BLUE is partly b/c the democrats are applying for positions & the conservatives are not. Gloria mentioned the OPEN VACANCIES in most of the VOLUNTEER city committees. Ex. Sadly the adult care committee has been vacant for FAR too long. If ANY of them interest you, please let her know if you APPLY.
More on Gloria Whisenhunt here:https://www.co.forsyth.nc.us/Commissioners/meet_whisenhunt.aspx
We were then updated on the NC House Bills that were circulating by our representative, Jeff Zenger. He also shared about the rumors circulated about him locally. Lewisville residents continue to know very little of the details of the HELL the city put Jeff Zenger through for years. So, Jeff told us the whole story last night. However, not ONE person (outside who typically attends our monthly gatherings and/or already know & trust Jeff so had no question in head that he was the “bad guy” media said he was) showed up. We remind those in CWFC that you can’t complain about Forsyth County if you don’t make the time to learn or grow or serve.

MAY 2022_Fostering, Adoption & Guardian ad Litem
Guardian Ad Litem: They are community members trained (35hr) to represent abused & neglected children through the court process.
You ARE THE CHILDS VOICE, the eyes and the ears of the court to paint a picture for the judge in who is this child, what is their family situation and what does this child NEED to be healthy & safe.
Your voice is EQUAL to their parents voice.
You are the MOST CONSISTENT person in the child’s life. ❤️🩹
******** local info **********
Forsyth co currently has 239 children in the courts/237 are in social services legal custody.
There are currently only 100 volunteers.
Commitment looks like 8 hrs a month (seems way low). You observe the child in their home. You talk to their parents, relatives, neighbors, therapists and more. You are paired with an attorney advocate and will be a witness involving court reports, if needed.
Typical case for the child/children lasts 13-24 months.

SEP 2021: Special Event with Scott Presler
September 11th with Scott Presler! He shared election integrity, voter registration and local candidate training.
*****
If you recall, he won the Reagan Award at CPAC 2021
The Ronald Reagan Award was established to honor the often unnamed or overlooked conservative activists who work in the political trenches day after day to advance conservative ideas, policies, and candidates.
Scott Presler was given the award by CPAC because of his extensive work in organizing and helping to clean up parts of inner cities riddled with trash and abandoned property. Scott also engaged in political speeches and get-out-the-vote efforts -- on the streets and online -- to help re-elect Donald Trump in 2020.

March 2021- topic: Salem Pregnancy Center
What an amazing CWFC meeting last night As I looked around the packed room, it made me smile. It reminded me of the verse Hebrews 10:25 when God is speaking about not neglecting to meet together but rather to be encouraging of one another. That is what you all did!! You took time out of your night, your families, your routine to come and encourage one another. For that, we thank you. Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and meeting new people. A HUGE thank you to Dottie Powers . We had around 50 women hear Dottie Powers’ POWERFUL testimony and her call to action in how we can help Salem Pregnancy Center.
